NYIGF EXPANDS & EVOLVES
The New York International Gift Fair, taking place February 1 to 6 at
New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship
Terminal Piers 92 and 94, will feature a variety of enhancements and
additions. Among them is the expansion of the At Home division,
which will now be presented in all three venues, and the introduction
of Studio, a showcase for lifestyle merchandise, trends and new talent
across a broad spectrum of categories. The show will also present Made
in the U.S.A., a new grouping of handcrafted, jury-selected products
from 30 exhibitors. In addition, this is the first time the show will run
concurrently with Ex-tracts, an event featuring personal care suppliers.

FALL 2008 CGTA GIFT SHOW TO BE FIVE-DAY EVENT
The Fall 2008 CGTA Gift Show will be going back to a five-day
format, beginning with the 2008 event running August 10 to 14. The
show will also include a new, first-class third location – the Toronto
Congress Centre North. The additional facility will afford the show the
ability to expand its product and category scope and to offer retailers
exciting new feature areas and events.

VANCOUVER OLYMPIC MERCHANDISE AVAILABLE AT DMG SHOWS
The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and
Paralympic Winter Games will have a presence at the upcoming Tourist,
Resort & Imprinted Products Show in Toronto, the Alberta Gift Show
and the Vancouver Gift Show. At each event, the group will highlight
10 to 15 manufacturers of headwear, souvenirs, pins, bags and luggage,
posters and calendars and sunglasses related to the Vancouver games.
